
Bolshoi & Royal Ballet Performances Begin This Weekend

As part of its "Ballet in Cinema" series, Emerging Pictures and
Cinemark Theatres to present six ballets in 50 Cinemark Theatres
across the country beginning this weekend and running through
August. The ballets will serve as prelude to Cinemark offering the
full slate of Emerging's "Ballet in Cinema" and "Opera in Cinema"
alternative arts programming in the fall.
Emerging Pictures and Cinemark will present three ballets each
from Moscow's Bolshoi Ballet and London's Royal Ballet, both
recognized as among the foremost of the world's ballet companies.
The ballets being presented are: "The Bright Stream," "Raymonda"
and "Le Corsaire" from the Bolshoi, and "La Fille Mal Gardée," "The
Sleeping Beauty," and "Romeo and Juliet" from the Royal Ballet.
Each of the ballets will be presented twice. (See below for
performance dates.)
