1. WHAT IS A GIFT CARD?

A gift card is a credit card-shaped card that can have monetary value added to it and then used like a debit card at participating Cinemark Theatres. The gift card easily fits in a pocket, wallet or purse. Because the gift card is plastic, there is no concern of it tearing or getting wet.

2. HOW DO I PURCHASE CINEMARK GIFT CARDS?

Cinemark Gift Cards can be purchased at all Cinemark Theatre Locations or online at Cinemark.com under the “Gifts & Discounts” tab.

3. WHAT CAN I PURCHASE WITH A GIFT CARD?

The gift card can be used to purchase movie tickets, concessions items or items at Studio Eats Restaurants (located inside select theatre locations).

4. WHAT ELSE MAKES A GIFT CARD DIFFERENT FROM A GIFT CERTIFICATE?

Unlike gift certificates, gift cards allow you to place any value you wish onto a card. Also, you are able to recharge, or add more money to the gift card whenever you want. This allows customers to reload a gift card and give as a gift to someone else. Customers may also give a gift card to their children and add value as need. This eliminates children having to carry cash.

5. WHICH CINEMARK THEATRES ACCEPT GIFT CARDS?

All Cinemark theatres accept and sell Cinemark Gift Cards. (Not valid in British Columbia) You may purchase a Cinemark Gift Card at all Theatre box offices or online.

6. HOW DO I REGISTER MY GIFT CARD?

To register your gift card, you must first be a registered user at Cinemark.com. If you are a registered user, skip down to step six. If you are not a registered user, please follow steps 1-5 to register.

  1. Go to www.cinemark.com
  2. Click on the button at the top of the screen labeled "My Account".
  3. Click on the "Register" link under the question "First time here?".
  4. Enter your name, e-mail address, create a password, and click on the "Register" button.
  5. You have now created a profile.
  6. Click the "My Account" button at the top of your screen.
  7. Login using your e-mail address and password.
  8. Click on "Manage & Recharge Gift Cards".
  9. The screen will state that there are no gift cards associated with your account.
  10. Click on the link, "Register a Gift Card".
  11. Enter in the 12-digit number located on the back of your gift card and enter in your name.
  12. Click on the "Register" button.
  13. You may repeat steps 8-12 to register additional cards

7. HOW CAN I CHECK THE BALANCE ON MY GIFT CARD?

You may check the balance of your card by going to your local participating Cinemark theatre, by calling 1-800-CINEMARK, by emailing your request to giftcards@cinemark.com or by checking the balance online. To check your gift card balance online, you must first register the card (see question six above). Otherwise, below are instructions for finding the balance of your card.

  1. Go to www.cinemark.com.
  2. Click on the button at the top of the screen labeled "My Account".
  3. Login by entering your e-mail address and password. This will take you to your Profile page.
  4. Click on "Manage & Recharge Gift Cards".
  5. Click on the "View Detail" button.

You will now be able to track your balance, see what you have purchased with your gift card, and the balance of your gift card.

8. HOW DO I RECHARGE MY GIFT CARD?

You can recharge a gift card at a participating theatre or online at www.cinemark.com. You must be a registered user at Cinemark.com and your card must be registered (see question 5 above). If your card is registered, follow these steps to recharge your gift card online:

  1. Go to www.cinemark.com.
  2. Click on the button at the top of the screen labeled "My Account".
  3. Login by entering your e-mail address and password. This will take you to your Profile page.
  4. Click on "Manage & Recharge Gift Cards" and then select "Recharge".
  5. Follow the prompts to recharge your gift card.

9. HOW CAN I PURCHASE TICKETS ONLINE WITH MY GIFT CARD?

Tickets purchased using a gift card online have the advantage of no service fees. To purchase tickets online using your gift card, your card must first be registered (see question 5 above). When you are placing your ticket order online, you will be asked which method of payment you will be using to complete your purchase. Select the gift card button and proceed. Cinemark Gift Cards are not valid for Fandango.com purchases (online ticket purchases for Century Theatre locations).

10. CAN I PURCHASE TICKETS AT THE KIOSK WITH A GIFT CARD?

Yes. Just go to the touch screen kiosk located in the lobby and use it the same way you would a credit card. This is a convenient way to bypass the lines at the box office.

11. IF I TRAVEL, CAN I USE A GIFT CARD AT OTHER CINEMARK THEATRES?

Yes, Cinemark Gift Cards are accepted at all Cinemark Theatres. (Not valid in British Columbia).

12. DOES A GIFT CARD EVER EXPIRE?

No. A gift card never expires and never depreciates in value.
