What movies will be playing?

We realize when you are booking your class for a field trip to the movie theatre one of your main concerns is the movie title. In most cases school groups are booked several weeks if not months in advance. At the time of your booking or reservation we are able to tell you what films are scheduled to be released around the time of your visit to the theatre, but we cannot guarantee a film will be showing at any specific theatre until all contracts with the film studios are finalized. These contracts are normally negotiated approximately two weeks prior to the movies release date.

2. How long will a movie play?

Every Monday morning the film buyers review the prior weekend’s box office grosses and decide whether or not to “hold” a film or to replace it with something new. Therefore the Sales Dept. can only answer this question from week to week.

3. How much are school group packages?

We offer school groups a special package that includes the movie ticket, popcorn and drink. The cost of this package varies by theatre. Contact Cinemark's School Group
Coordinator for pricing.

4. Why can’t we get the “early bird” ticket price?

Unfortunately the “early bird” price is only good for the first scheduled public show of the day. If you wish to attend this show-time, you will be charged the “early bird” price.

5. What is the minimum for an early morning screening?

We require a minimum of 50 persons for an early morning screening. The only exception to this is if we have other school groups scheduled for the same movie and the same time as you want to attend, then we will be happy to combine your group with others, provided we have adequate seating available.

6. We are from a low income school, can Cinemark give us a discount on our tickets?

Unfortunately, Cinemark does not make this decision. Ticket prices and discounts MUST be approved through the studio. Therefore, we cannot offer a discount on movie tickets.

7. We MUST have a “G” or “PG” rated movie. Will you have one showing the day we visit your theatre?

We cannot guarantee what will and will not be on screen more than two weeks in advance. We will try to accommodate your needs, but sometimes these family films are not available.

8. Can we have a special movie brought in for our field trip?

Yes! The cost of having a special print sent in for your students will range between $150 and $400 dollars for the print. Freight is an additional $50-$65. Most film titles are available for one day rentals. PLEASE NOTE: Disney and Buena Vista DO NOT rent their older films for one-day showings.
