LIONS 3D: ROAR OF THE KALAHARI TO OPEN AT THE CINEMARK IMAX® THEATRE IN COLORADO SPRINGS ON FRIDAY, AUGUST 17, 2007
Plano, TX...Lions 3D: Roar of the Kalahari, a compelling giant-screen film by Tim Liversedge for National Geographic, will open at the Cinemark IMAX® Theatre in Colorado Springs on August 17, 2007. The film, originally made in traditional 2-D large-screen format under the title Roar: Lions of the Kalahari has been repurposed in a larger-than-life 3-D film format. This is the first time an entire live-action giant screen film has been digitally converted from the original flat 2-D format to 3-D.
Filmed entirely in the wild, Lions 3D: Roar of the Kalahari carries the audience deep into Botswana's Kalahari Desert with a life-and-death struggle between a real lion king and a fierce, young contender determined to oust him from his throne. Viewers will be shaken in their seats by one of nature's loudest sounds -the roars of dueling lions- delivered by the most powerful theatre sound system in the world.
Lions 3D: Roar of the Kalahari opens at The Cinemark IMAX® Theatre, located at 3305 Cinema Point, on Powers Blvd. just North of Constitution Ave. For information on tickets and showtimes, please call (719) 596-3212, or visit the website at www.cinemark.com. The Cinemark IMAX® Theatre in Colorado Springs is one of six IMAX theatres operated by Cinemark. Other Cinemark IMAX® Theatres are located in Woodridge, IL; Tulsa, OK; Dallas, TX; Tarentum, PA; and Rochester, NY.
