CONSTRUCTION UNDERWAY ON THE NEW 16-SCREEN CINEMARK THEATRE LOCATED AT MARKET HEIGHTS IN HARKER HEIGHTS, TEXAS

Plano, Texas (September 10, 2007)…Cinemark Holdings, Inc. (the “Company”) announced that construction has started on the 16-screen, all stadium-seating Cinemark Theatre at Market Heights located at the northeast corner of SH 190 and FM 2410 in Harker Heights, Texas. The theatre is being built by Axiom Construction and is slated to open summer of 2008. Local movie-goers will have an opportunity to see some of the new summer releases including, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, The Dark Knight (the follow-up sequel to Batman), and Get Smart to name a few.

The new theatre will be full of state-of-the-art comfort and conveniences. A self-serve concession stand will allow patrons to serve themselves soda, candy, bottled drinks and ice cream and proceed directly to the cashier. In addition to freshly popped popcorn and refreshing Coca-Cola fountain drinks, the concession stand will also offer Starbuck’s Coffee, Dreyer’s Ice Cream, and Red Baron Pizza.

Stadium seating will provide patrons unobstructed views from plush, high-backed rocking seats featuring a 16-inch height difference between each row and a span of 48 inches between each aisle. The extra aisle space will give movie-goers more leg room and ample space to enter and exit their row without disturbing other guests.

Online ticketing available at www.cinemark.com will make it easy for patrons to purchase tickets in advance from the comfort of their home or office. Customers can then bypass lines at the box office and go directly to a kiosk in the theatre lobby where they may print their own tickets purchased online using a confirmation number given at the time of purchase. The kiosk also allows ticket purchases via a major credit card or Cinemark gift card. In addition, customers can sign up online to receive free weekly showtime emails at www.cinemark.com.

“Texas has been home to Cinemark for many years and we are proud to be teaming up with Direct Development Corporation to bring ‘The Best Seat in Town’ to Harker Heights, Belton, Temple and Killeen,” says Tim Warner, President of Cinemark USA, Inc. “Customers will enjoy seeing films in the comfort of a Cinemark theatre and they will be able to get their tickets online in advance.”

Tenants in the Market Heights Shopping Center will include: Target, Cinemark, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Circuit City, Barnes & Noble, Bed Bath & Beyond, ULTA, Dollar Tree, Lane Bryant/Cacique, Rack Room Shoes, Catherines, First National Bank Texas, Bank of America and Cheddar’s Casual Café. The Shopping Center opens July of 2008. “We are excited to have Cinemark as part of our development. Cinemark is a great draw and has been integral in attracting great retailers and restaurants like Barnes & Noble and Cheddar’s Casual Café to the development,” says Jon Andrus, Principal of Direct Development.
