CINEMARK WILL OPEN A NEW 12-SCREEN THEATRE ON MAY 2, 2008 AT PORTER’S VALE IN VALPARAISO, INDIANA
Plano, Texas (April 23, 2008)...Cinemark Holdings, Inc. (the "Company") will open a new 12-screen Cinemark theatre complete with all stadium-seating in Valparaiso, Indiana, on Friday, May 2, 2008. The new theatre will be located at 700 Porter’s Vale Blvd. located at SR 2 and Hwy 49 (Laporte Ave.) in Valparaiso.
Valparaiso’s newest movie theatre will offer 12 auditoriums with digital sound, stadium seating, online ticketing, and concession stands providing candy, freshly popped popcorn, and Coca-Cola fountain drinks. Online ticketing available at www.cinemark.com will make it easy for patrons to purchase tickets in advance from the comfort of their home or office. Customers can then bypass lines at the box office and go directly to a kiosk outside the theatre lobby, where they may print their own tickets purchased online using a confirmation number given at the time of purchase. The kiosk also allows ticket purchases via a major credit card or Company gift card. In addition, online customers can sign up to receive weekly showtime emails directly from the Company by signing up for free at www.cinemark.com.

Several invitation-only pre-grand opening events are planned for Grand Opening week, including a Tuesday, April 29th Friends and Family night, Wednesday, April 30th Valparaiso University Night and Thursday May 1st Superhero themed VIP night honoring the Valparaiso Fire Department and local Law Enforcement. Grand Opening Day giveaways include a free Cinemark grand opening T-shirt for customers who purchase a large fountain drink at the concession stand, while supplies last. The first 50 customers who purchase a ticket on Friday May 2nd, and Saturday, May 3rd, receive a free Cinemark “swag” bag filled with movie goodies from upcoming summer films. Several entertaining events will take place grand opening weekend including: Friday May 2nd Z107-FM station appearance from 5pm-7pm and B96 Station Appearance from 7pm- 9pm. Saturday, May 3rd, from 1pm-3pm, kids activities, including face painting and balloon animals and Indiana 105 Station appearance; JACK-FM Station Appearance 4pm-6pm; X-Rock station appearance 6pm-8pm and on display will be artwork and sketches from Marvel Comic Artist Cory Hamscher..
