CINEMARK ANNOUNCES NEW 14-SCREEN ALL-DIGITAL THEATRE TO OPEN ON NOVEMBER 7, 2008 IN OREM, UT

Plano, Texas… Cinemark Holdings, Inc. (the "Company") will open a 14-screen, all-digital projection theatre in Orem, UT, located at University Mall, 1010 South 800 East on Friday, November 7, 2008.

The new Cinemark University Mall Theatre will offer digital sound and digital projection in all auditoriums, stadium-seating, online ticketing, and a self-serve concession stand providing freshly popped popcorn, Coca-Cola fountain drinks, and popular candy brands. Premium items available at the concession stand will include Dreyer’s hand-dipped ice cream, VitaminWater, Icee frozen beverages, nachos, pretzels and Kettle Korn.

All 14 auditoriums will be outfitted with the latest in digital technology, including five auditoriums with 3D capabilities. The movie-goer will enjoy quality presentation free from scratches and deterioration, so the movie is presented exactly as the filmmaker intended. Stadium-seating will allow patrons to enjoy unobstructed views from plush, high-backed rocking seats featuring a 16-inch height difference between each row. Spacing of 48 inches between each aisle, will give movie-goers more leg room and ample space to enter and exit their row without disturbing other guests.

“Cinemark got its start in the greater Salt Lake City area over 24 years ago, so the area has long been considered our second home,” says Alan Stock, Chief Executive Officer of Cinemark USA, Inc. “It is our distinct honor to bring a state-of-the-art digital theatre to Orem and provide the highest quality movie entertainment experience available.” On opening weekend, movie-goers will be able to see the new films Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa, Soul Men, and Role Models. Over the next few weeks customers will be able to view Quantum of Solace, the new James Bond film on November 14, Bolt in 3D and Twilight on November 21, and Australia on November 28

Online ticketing available at www.cinemark.com will make it easy for patrons to purchase tickets in advance from the comfort of their home or office. Customers can then bypass lines at the box office and go directly to a kiosk in the theatre lobby, where they may print their own tickets purchased online using a confirmation number given at the time of purchase. The kiosk also allows ticket purchases via a major credit card or Cinemark Gift Card. In addition, online customers can sign up to receive weekly showtime e-mails directly from Cinemark.

Several pre-grand opening activities are planned including a special University Night on Wednesday, November 5th where students from Brigham Young University and Utah Valley University will enjoy free movies, popcorn and soft drinks. On Thursday, November 6th, there is a special Charity Night event that benefits the Utah National Parks Council of the Boy Scouts of America. Guests will be able to enjoy a free movie and can purchase concession items for $1.00 each. All proceeds from the evening will go to the local Boy Scouts council.
