CINEMARK ANNOUNCES NEW 8-SCREEN ALL-STADIUM SEATED MOVIE THEATRE TO OPEN ON DECEMBER 12TH IN PIQUA, OH
Plano, Texas… Cinemark Holdings, Inc. (the "Company") will open a new 8-screen movie theatre in Piqua, Ohio on Friday, December 12, 2008. The new Cinemark Miami Valley Theatre will offer stadium-seating, online ticketing, and Cinemark’s traditional full service concession stand providing favorite candy brands, freshly popped popcorn and Coca-Cola fountain drinks.
“The new Cinemark Miami Valley Theatre will be an outstanding entertainment venue for all of our loyal customers in the Piqua area,” says James Meredith, Vice President of Marketing for Cinemark USA, Inc. “In the weeks ahead, movie-goers will be able to see some of Hollywood’s hottest holiday releases, including Seven Pounds, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Yes Man, Bedtime Stories, The Tale of Despereaux, and The Day the Earth Stood Still.” The theatre is located at 1020 Garbry Road, off of I-75 at the Miami Valley Centre Mall.
The theatre’s eight stadium-seated auditoriums will allow patrons to enjoy unobstructed views of the wall-to-wall screens from plush, high-backed rocking seats featuring a 16-inch height difference between each row. Customers will be able to enter and exit their row without disturbing other guests, and enjoy more leg room because of the 48 inch space between each aisle.
Online ticketing available at www.cinemark.com will make it easy for patrons to purchase tickets in advance from the comfort of their home or office. Customers can then bypass lines at the box office and go directly to a kiosk in the theatre lobby, where they may print their own tickets purchased online using a confirmation number given at the time of purchase. The kiosk also allows ticket purchases via a major credit card or Cinemark gift card. Customers can also sign up to receive weekly emails directly from Cinemark which include showtimes, concession stand promotions, advance ticket announcements, and special events information.
Several pre-grand opening activities are planned, including a special invitation only VIP Night, Wednesday, December 10, with a ribbon cutting ceremony including City and local officials. The evening will feature free movies, popcorn and soft drinks for everyone. On Grand Opening weekend the first 1,000 customers who purchase a large Coca-Cola fountain beverage will receive a free Cinemark Grand Opening t-shirt. The first 50 customers on Grand Opening Day, December 12th, will receive a free water bottle from Cinemark and the Twentieth-Century Fox film, The Day the Earth Stood Still with a ticket purchase to the film.
