CINEMARK ANNOUNCES NEW 12-SCREEN MOVIE THEATRE
Plano, Texas… Cinemark Holdings, Inc. (the "Company") will open a new 12-screen movie theatre in Apple Valley, CA on Friday, May 1, 2009. The new Cinemark Jess Ranch Theatre will offer 12 auditoriums featuring stadium-seating, as well as online ticketing and a self-service concession stand providing favorite candy brands, freshly popped popcorn and Coca-Cola fountain drinks. In addition, one auditorium will be equipped with a digital projection system that will allow for the presentation of 3D films.
“This new state of the art theatre will be a great addition to the Jess Ranch development in Apple Valley”, says James Meredith, Vice President of Marketing for Cinemark USA, Inc. “It will be a fantastic venue in which to see Hollywood’s upcoming blockbuster releases, like Star Trek, Angels and Demons, Night at the Museum: Battle at the Smithsonian, Terminator Salvation, and Land of the Lost. Additionally, digital projection enables Cinemark’s Jess Ranch theatre to show movies like Up, and Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs in Real D 3D.” The theatre is located in Jess Ranch Marketplace, 18935 Bear Valley Road at Jess Ranch Parkway.
All twelve auditoriums will be outfitted with stadium-seating which allows patrons to enjoy unobstructed views of the screens from plush, high-backed rocking seats featuring a 16-inch height difference between each row. Customers will be able to enter and exit their row without disturbing other guests and enjoy more leg room because of the 48 inch space between each aisle.
Online ticketing available at www.cinemark.com will make it easy for patrons to purchase tickets in advance from the comfort of their home or office. Customers can then bypass lines at the box office and go directly to a kiosk at the theatre, where they may print their own tickets purchased online using a confirmation number given at the time of purchase. The kiosk also allows ticket purchases via a major credit card or Cinemark gift card. Customers can also sign up to receive weekly emails directly from Cinemark which include showtimes, concession stand promotions, advance ticket announcements, and special events information.
Several pre-grand opening activities are planned, including a special invitation-only event on Thursday, April 30. The evening will feature free movies, popcorn and soft drinks for everyone invited.
