Screenings, Meetings and Church

What are Private Screenings?

A private screening is the opportunity for your group to see a current film on the date and time of your choice.  You will be required to purchase every seat in the auditorium + an advance scheduling fee.

May I show my own film?

Your group may rent out the auditorium if you have the rights to the film you are requesting to show.  Unless the film is in DCP format, you will be required to purchase our Basic AV package which starts at $2400.

May I request to bring back an older film?

Yes, our Film Department will request permission from the film studio, if the requested film is available on DCP.

What is a Dark Time Screening?

Private screenings take place in the morning before the theatre is open to the public.  Groups typically need to arrive at 8:30 a.m.  A minimum of 50 people are required to schedule the event.  Ten days prior to the event, a final attendance number and full payment is due.  Ticket vouchers will be sent directly to you.  Everyone entering the screening will need a voucher.  There is not an option to pay at the door.

The private screening package includes ticket, junior popcorn and small drink.

If you would like to visit the theatre during regular business hours, you are welcome to buyout a show time once the theatre has a public schedule in place (usually 4-7 days in advance).  For a private screening, you will need to purchase a ticket for every seat in the auditorium where the film is scheduled to play.  Bulk discount ticket information is available at www.cinemark.com - click on the 'Values' tab and then the 'Supersaver' tab.

Do I Need AV?

AV is required any time that equipment is plugged into our projector or sound system.  This includes DVD, Bluray, PowerPoint, etc.

What is a DCP?

A Digital Cinema Package (DCP) is a collection of digital files used to store and convey Digital cinema (DC) audio, image, and data streams.  This is the format needed for our digital projectors to ingest the film content.  If your film is not in DCP, you will be required to purchase the AV package.

When is payment due for a meeting/event?

Payment is due in full 14 days prior to event date.  No deposit is required.

When do church rentals take place at the theatre?

Cinemark locations are available for worship services on Sunday mornings.  Access time is typically 7:30-11:30 a.m.  In most cases, the theatre will open for business and begin showing movies in other auditoriums before the church rental ends.  The church rents specific auditoriums, not the entire building.

How much space is available for a church?

Each congregation is different.  Consider the auditoriums needed for the main service, classes and areas for children, including nursery.  The lobby and hallways are not available.

What equipment should a church bring each Sunday morning?

The church should provide all audio/visual equipment required.  Cinemark equipment, including the auditorium sound system, is not available for use.  All church audio/visual equipment is set-up inside the auditorium.  Access to the projection booth is not available.  The church may use the screen in the auditorium.

Is storage available at the theatre for a church?

No.  Storage is limited at the theatre, and space is not available for church equipment or supplies.

Is signage allowed to promote church services?

Directional signage inside the theatre is permitted.  The signage should be removed before the theatre opens to the public.  Outdoor signage is not allowed.

Is there a contract to sign for Theatre Church?

Yes.  Most contracts are for a one-year term.  Shorter contracts, such as six months, could also be available.  A certificate of insurance is required.
