Cinemark Movie Rewards Reopening FAQ

Your benefits will be automatically reinstated when your local theatre has reopened, so you’re able to enjoy the perks of being a Movie Club member as soon as you’re ready to come back to the movies.

But don’t worry! You won’t be charged for your Movie Club account until your regular billing date in August, and a new movie credit will be issued to your account at that time. You can log in and visit to see your next billing date at any time.

We’ll also be sending emails with more information about your theatre opening, your next billing date, and a special offer just for Movie Club members during our re-opening. Make sure you’re subscribed to our emails so you don’t miss out!

Add the tickets for you and a friend just like you normally do, select your seats, and your cart will reflect your FREE Movie Club member tickets during checkout. Yes! Your 20% off snacks benefit will stack on top of the already discounted food and drink offerings during our reopening celebrations. We know it’s been a while since you were able to have our popcorn, and hope this makes it a little easier to enjoy!

Unfortunately, we have halted all drink and popcorn refills to limit contact points. The prices for our large refillable sizes have been reduced in order to compensate for the inconvenience.

To limit contact points, we are no longer able to accept annual refillable cups and popcorn tubs. However, if you purchased our 2020 refillable cup or tub, we will happily honor your discount and provide an equivalent single-use container. Each time you come to Cinemark, please bring your refillable cup and/or tub and show them at the concession stand to receive your discount.

To make up for the time we were temporarily closed this year, we are extending the valid dates of your discount through March 31, 2021.

Any unused credits on an active or paused Movie Club membership continued to roll over and will be available to use as soon as theatres re-open.

If your membership was canceled prior to or during our theatre closures, we’ve extended the expiration date for all unused credits by the amount of time our locations are closed in order to allow you to have the full amount of time to enjoy your credits.

If you joined using a multi-month gift promo code, we have continued to issue new movie credits to you each month while theatres were closed. Our credits never expire as long as you’re a member, so they’re waiting for you as soon as you’re ready to visit us!

We’ve also extended your next billing date to accommodate the amount of time our theatres have been closed in order to ensure you’re able to enjoy all of your Movie Club benefits for the full length of your gift period. New credits will not be issued during this extension time, but all other Movie Club benefits will be available to you without charge. You can log in and visit to see your next scheduled billing date.


You joined February 9, 2020 using a 12-month gift. You have received 5 movie credits (1 each month) through June 9, 2020 and will continue to receive 1 credit each month through January 9, 2021 for a total of 12 movie credits.

Your first billing date (originally February 9, 2021) has been extended to May 9, 2021. No new credits will be issued between February and May 2021, but all other Movie Club benefits will be available to you free of charge.

If you manually paused your membership on your own, the default pause period is 3 months. Your membership will automatically resume after those 3 months are over, and your payments will continue at that time.

You are free to manually resume your membership at any time by logging in to your account and visiting, where an option to “resume membership” is available under the ‘Manage Your Membership’ section.

Doing so will resume your monthly membership payments, reactivate your benefits, and your credits will continue to be issued as normal.

We’ve extended the expiration date for all Cinemark Movie Rewards points to September 30, 2020, providing you the opportunity to redeem the rewards you earned.

Any unused, redeemed rewards have been extended through September 30, 2020 to allow you time to use your reward when you’re ready to come back to the movies.

Absolutely! If you redeemed your birthday reward within your account during the month of your birthday while our locations were closed, we’ve extended the expiration date through September 30, 2020 to make sure you’re able to celebrate with us as soon as you’re ready.
