The CAB will help Cinemark remain fresh and humble in achieving Cinemark's Mission Statement of taking care of customers, employees, and investors, and to provide a learning and growing experience for the members of the CAB. The purpose of the CAB is to provide Cinemark management with innovative input and opinion which is specifically relevant to young people. Topics may include, among others, marketing & promotions, theatre design, recruiting and retaining great employees, movie selection and alternative content.
Ten members. Mark Zoradi, Cinemark's Chief Executive Officer leads the CAB. Each member shall serve for a term of two years, subject to performance requirements as determined by the CEO. Applicants selected to be members of the CAB must execute an Advisory Services Agreement with Cinemark. Members shall not be deemed to be employees of Cinemark or any of its affiliates and membership in the CAB shall not constitute Cinemark employment.
Members shall serve a two year term. The CAB shall meet at least four times annually, primarily at Cinemark's World Headquarters, located in Plano, TX. Meetings shall take place over one business day, typically from 9:30am until 4:30pm. Efforts will be made to accommodate school and work schedules. Some meetings may be held on a Saturday. Meetings may be held at other locations or electronically via video-conferencing. Attendance at CAB meetings is mandatory and shall be a requirement for membership.
Members shall receive $300 per meeting and an annual Cinemark Admission Pass. Additionally, members shall be granted a one-time honorarium of approximately $2000 on their 2 year anniversary date. All approved travel related expenses to and from meetings shall be paid by Cinemark.
Applicants should be 18-25 years of age.
May not be a current Cinemark employee.

Mark Zoradi is the Chief Executive Officer of Cinemark Holdings, Inc. a leading motion picture exhibitor operating theatres in the United States in addition to Brazil, Argentina, and 13 other Latin American countries.
Prior to joining Cinemark, Mr. Zoradi spent 30 years at The Walt Disney Company, most recently serving as the President of Walt Disney Studios Motion Picture Group. During his tenure, Mr. Zoradi also served on the launch team of Walt Disney Home Video, as Marketing Director of The Disney Channel, the General Manager of Buena Vista Television and President of Buena Vista International with responsibility for the international theatrical and home entertainment marketing and distribution of Disney, Touchstone and Pixar films. Mr. Zoradi also acted as the President and Chief Operating Officer of Dick Cook Studios from January 2011 until July 2014 and the Chief Operating Officer of DreamWorks Animation SKG, Inc., until January 2015.
In 2009, Mr. Zoradi received the Louis B. Mayer Award for Motion Picture Business Leader of the year.
In addition to serving as a Board of Directors member for Cinemark, Zoradi maintains a strong commitment to charity and community service, currently serving on the Westmont College Board of Trustees since 1997 and the Young Life National Board of Directors since 2011. He previously served on the Providence Health Care and Services in Southern California Board of Directors from 2003 to 2015 and a member of Young Presidents Organization from 1992 to 2004.
He holds an MBA in Marketing and Finance from UCLA’s Graduate School of Management and a BA in Economics and Sociology from Westmont College.
Mr. Zoradi has been married to his wife Cathy for more than 40 years. Together, they have three children and four grandchildren.
Karah Harbuck graduated from Shasta College with Associate’s degrees in English, Humanities, and Sociology. She is employed in social services where she works with at-risk foster youth to improve their skills and encourage personal growth. In the future, she plans to pursue a degree as a medical doctor in the field of psychiatry and use her career to advocate for and promote the self-efficacy of those in need. In her free time, Karah enjoys traveling, analyzing movies, and hiking with her cat. Member since January 2020.
Tom Racek is a senior at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, NY where he is pursuing a double major in Film and Hispanic studies. When Tom is not in the classroom you can find him serving as Captain of the Men’s Fencing Team, coaching in the boxing room, pursuing acting, or working on his Fall Out Shelter documentary for Vassar. His goals are to continue his education and hopes to obtain an MBA and Masters in Film Production. Member since July 2017
Aafiya Jamal graduated from the University of Texas at Austin, completing a BBA in Finance and a BA in Plan II Honors. She works at Ernst and Young as a Consultant in their Financial Services practice. Aafiya loves to watch movies, spend time with family and friends, and learn about different cultures and communities. While on the Chairman’s Advisory Board, Aafiya has gained insight on how a company successfully adapts to stay relevant in a competitive business landscape. Member since July 2017.
Ahona Mukherjee graduated from the University of Chicago with a BA in Biological Sciences, specializing in Immunology. She works at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle focusing on clinical trials for investigational drugs and treatment options for patients with post-transplant complications. In her free time, Ahona is starting up her own handmade greeting card business. She loves to take photos, experiment in the kitchen, and re-watch favorite TV shows and movies. Ahona is very excited to be on CAB and help make a difference at the company. Member since October 2019.
Sophia Costanzo is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, where she earned a BA in Film, Television, and Theatre. While there, she was on the Women’s Club Boxing Team and completed her senior thesis documentary entitled "Remembering Cuba". She attends Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, where she is pursuing her MFA in Film and Television Production. Sophia’s goal is to become a writer/director and make films that impact people’s lives. Member since January 2020.
Varun Akula is a junior at the University of Texas at Dallas where he is pursuing a degree in Computer Science. He has completed summer internships in software engineering. After graduation, he hopes to work in Data Science or Product Management. In his free time he enjoys playing basketball and football, listening to music, weightlifting, and playing the violin. Varun is very excited to be a member of the CAB and to make meaningful contributions. Member since January 2020.
