Movie Club Platinum FAQ

Yes! Any visits made or tickets purchased between September 1, 2021 and December 31, 2021 will be tracked towards your Platinum progress. If you achieve the required threshold and join Movie Club, you would then achieve Movie Club Platinum status.

Benefits will go into effect as soon as you see your last movie, and will continue until the end of the NEXT calendar year. So the earlier in the year you qualify, the longer you’ll have your benefits!

For example: You see your final qualifying movie on July 15, 2022. Benefits begin immediately and will last through December 31, 2023! If you earn Platinum again in 2023, they’ll continue through 2024.

No way! Your Movie Club membership price will remain the same. It’s our way of saying thank you for your love of movies and Cinemark.

Yes! A Private Watch Party purchased with your Movie Club account counts for 1 visit and/or 10 tickets.

Your progress will update as soon as the showtime has passed.

Your progress towards Platinum will be reduced by the number of tickets/visits being refunded. If the showtime has not already passed, you may not see any changes since progress isn’t updated until after the showtime.

At least 1 ticket purchase is required to count as a visit towards Platinum status… but you’ll still get your 20% Movie Club savings on any snacks, even without a ticket purchase!

Earning Platinum: Movie Club Platinum membership can only be earned by active Movie Club members… you must make your final qualifying purchase as a Movie Club member to achieve Platinum status.

If you cancel your Movie Club membership while Platinum, your Platinum benefits will stop along with your regular Movie Club benefits at the end of your billing cycle. You’re welcome to rejoin Movie Club at any time after cancelling, and your Platinum status will be reinstated as long as it’s still within your original timeframe.

Yes! Any ticket, whether purchased using a Movie Club credit or as an additional purchase under your Movie Club account will go towards your Platinum status.

Log in to your account on the app or website and visit your member page (Cinemark.com/movieclub, or click on the rewards icon in the app). Your tickets and visits progress will show at the top of the page.

2 free bonus credits will be added to your account immediately after you qualify for Platinum status (and every time you re-qualify!). Plus 25% off snacks (instead of 20%) and the option to purchase additional tickets at member price.
