See at least 25 movies (each showtime attended counts as 1 visit) OR purchase at least 60 tickets using your Cinemark Movie Rewards account between January 1 and December 31 and be a Movie Club member to qualify!
You receive progress for every ticket purchased to any showtime while logged in to your Cinemark Movie Rewards account or have your member ID scanned during checkout. Tickets purchased using gift cards, Movie Club credits, Supersavers or rewards all count towards your Platinum progress! Tickets received for free from passes, free screenings, etc will not accumulate progress.
Yes! Any visits made or tickets purchased between January 1 and December 31 using your Cinemark Movie Rewards account will be tracked towards your Platinum progress. If you achieve the required threshold and join Movie Club, you would then achieve Movie Club Platinum status.
Benefits will go into effect as soon as you see your last movie, and will continue until the end of the NEXT calendar year. So the earlier in the year you qualify, the longer you’ll have your benefits!
For example: You see your final qualifying movie on July 15, 2022. Benefits begin immediately and will last through December 31, 2023! If you earn Platinum again in 2023, they’ll continue through 2024.
No way! Your Movie Club membership price will remain the same. It’s our way of saying thank you for your love of movies and Cinemark.
Yes! A Private Watch Party purchased with your Movie Club account counts for 1 visit and/or 10 tickets.
Progress is awarded after the showtime has passed. Please allow up to 1 week after your showtime has passed for the progress to register on your member page. Don’t worry! Tickets or visits for showtimes in this year will count towards your Platinum status even if they take a little longer to show.
Your progress towards Platinum will be reduced by the number of tickets/visits being refunded. If the showtime has not already passed, you may not see any changes since progress isn’t updated until after the showtime.
At least 1 ticket purchase is required to count as a visit towards Platinum status… but you’ll still get your 20% Movie Club savings on any snacks, even without a ticket purchase!
If you cancel your Movie Club membership while Platinum, your Platinum benefits will stop along with your regular Movie Club benefits at the end of your billing cycle. You’re welcome to rejoin Movie Club at any time after cancelling, and your Platinum status will be reinstated as long as you rejoin before the end of your Platinum timeframe.
Yes! Any ticket, whether purchased using a Movie Club credit or as an additional purchase under your Movie Club account will go towards your Platinum status.
Log in to your account on the app or website and visit your member page (Cinemark.com/movieclub, or click on the rewards icon in the app). Your tickets and visits progress will show at the top of the page. Progress is awarded after the showtime has passed. Please allow up to 1 week after your showtime has passed for the progress to register on your member page.
2 free bonus credits will be added to your account immediately after you qualify for Platinum status (and every time you re-qualify!). Plus 25% off snacks (instead of 20%) and the option to purchase additional tickets at member price.
We’re working on a few other surprises throughout the year as well… make sure you’re signed up for Cinemark emails so we can reach you to let you know!
Each showtime you attend counts as a visit. Feel free to make it a double or triple feature and watch those visits add up fast!
No! As long as you rejoin or reactivate your membership before the end of the calendar year, your previous progress will still count towards Platinum status. You will need to be an active Movie Club member before the end of the year to achieve Platinum for the next calendar year, though!
