In PORTRAIT OF A LADY ON FIRE, the young painter Marianne (Noémie Merlant) is commissioned to paint a portrait of Héloïse (Adèle Haenel) in order to secure a marriage proposal, she has no idea what sort of situation she's walking into. Héloïse does not want to marry, and so she refuses to sit for a portrait. What begins as a sort of cat-and-mouse game of painting and friendship develops into something far more powerful as the two women realize how alike their interests really are.

You ever hear the one about the cop, the songbird, the psycho and the mafia princess? BIRDS OF PREY (tantalizingly subtitled "And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn") is the first big superhero movie of 2020. It's a twisted tale told by Harley herself, as only Harley can tell it. When Gotham's most nefariously narcissistic villain, Roman Sionis, and his zealous right-hand, Zsasz, put a target on a young girl named Cass, the city is turned upside down looking for her. Harley, Huntress, Black Canary and Renee Montoya's paths collide, and the unlikely foursome has no choice but to team up to take Roman down.
