How Long Is the Eras Tour Concert Film?
TAYLOR SWIFT | THE ERAS TOUR runs 2 hours and 45 minutes. That's just a bit shorter than the three-hour and fifteen-minute concert time.
Where Was the Taylor Swift Concert Film Shot?
The Taylor Swift concert film was filmed at multiple shows, and since the trailer shows more than one establishing shot of SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles, we know that is the film's main location. Swift filmed the first three shows at SoFi, with veteran concert filmmaker Sam Wrench directing.
Swift played six dates at SoFi Stadium, and each show at the 70,240-seat stadium was sold out. Shows took place on August 3-9, 2023, and the Los Angeles run marked the end of the 2023 North American leg of Swift's Eras Tour. (She moved on to Mexico, has shows scheduled in Brazil, and will play many shows around the world before returning to the US in late 2024.)
What Songs Are in Taylor Swift's Concert Film?
Each concert features 44 songs and representations of each of her ten albums, or Eras, with the concert broken up into ten acts devoted to each era. Each set has "surprise songs" during the show's acoustic segment — those are tunes that were played only at that one date.
At the three filmed SoFi dates, the surprise songs were “I Can See You,” “Maroon,” “Our Song,” “You Are in Love,” “Death by a Thousand Cuts” and “You’re on Your Own, Kid.” Any or all could end up in the film. As for which of the standard setlist songs will be featured, we're not yet certain.
The Eras Tour Ticket Price Is a Nod to One of Swift's Albums
Swift likes to give fans many little puzzles to solve and embeds cheeky nods to her songs and albums in many different ways. The ticket price for her concert film isn't exactly a puzzle, but any fan will understand the pricing. Most tickets for TAYLOR SWIFT | THE ERAS TOUR cost $19.89, as a reference to her fifth album.
It's probably not a coincidence that "1989 (Taylor's Version)," the re-recorded version of her 2014 release "1989," will be released on October 27, 2023, two weeks after this film opens.
