For the couple that bonded over music. This hybrid concert film and documentary is both a chance to see Bruce Springsteen and a small orchestra perform songs from his most recent album — in the singer's own barn on his New Jersey property, no less — and an opportunity to get closer to the modern troubadour than ever before. [October 25]

Charlie's Angels

For the couple that bonded over Kristen Stewart's status as an icon. With CHARLIE'S ANGELS, director Elizabeth Banks revives the 1970s TV series with a new cast and a fast-paced, quippy and glam style. Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott, and Ella Balinska all work for the mysterious Charles Townsend, whose international security and investigative agency has expanded to international scale. This Angels team tackles tough jobs that regular law enforcement can't handle, which leads them to a tipping point between industry and the global weapons black market. [November 15]

For the couple that loves true-crime podcasts. STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI filmmaker Rian Johnson writes and directs this Agatha Christie homage. When a crime novelist (Christopher Plummer)) ends up dead on the weekend on which his family is meant to celebrate his birthday, Detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig, who shot the film when the new James Bond film was delayed) turns up to investigate, much to the consternation of the writer's combative family. The cast of this quick-witted puzzle-box mystery also features Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Jamie Lee Curtis, Toni Collette, Don Johnson, Michael Shannon, LaKeith Stanfield, Katherine Langford, and Jaeden Martell. For the high-flying couple. This true story comes from director Tom Harper (WILD ROSE). Set in 1862, THE AERONAUTS follows an unlikely couple: daredevil balloon pilot Amelia Wren (Felicity Jones) and pioneering meteorologist James Glaisher (Eddie Redmayne) as they seek to learn more than anyone else has ever known about how weather systems work. To do this, they take to the sky in a hot air balloon, breaking flight records and advancing scientific discovery at the same time. Far up in the sky, the two pioneers are pushed to the limits of their capabilities by the physical and emotional challenges of life at extraordinary altitude. [December 6]

For the couple that likes to get even. Blake Lively stars as Stephanie Patrick, who races down a dark and dangerous path after her family is killed in a plane crash. But the story of the crash isn't so simple, and Stephanie soon learns that it might not have been an accident. Her grief turns to anger. She goes to incredible lengths to get revenge on the people responsible for orchestrating the crash and may end up destroying herself in the process. Based on the novel by Mark Burnell and produced by the company behind the James Bond movies. [January 31, 2020]
