Video games and comedy live side by side — both have trash talk at their core, especially in competitive gaming. Why not bring them together in one event? Stand-up comic Chris Redd and YouTuber/streamer Seán William McLoughlin, aka Jacksepticeye, host GAMER AND THE MOUTH, a competition event in which four pairs of comics and gamers try to win gameplay events while being bombarded with jokes and bizarre distractions.
GAMER AND THE MOUTH comes to Cinemark in October. Check out the trailer and get more details below.
GAMER AND THE MOUTH will play on the big screen on October 7.
If you're not familiar with any of the content creators repped in this event — or if you want a better sense of how comedy and video games intersect — this trailer should clear things up!
For this event, the cast of competitors and comedians is as follows:
The Gamers
The Comedians
Drawing on the time-honored tradition of trying to mess up a friend's chance of completing a game, GAMER AND THE MOUTH throws a wide array of challenges at each time. There's plenty of trash talk, sure, which is distracting enough. But what about playing blindfolded or in handcuffs? Taking things to another level are annoyances like trying to play while a barbershop quartet sings in your ear.
That's just the beginning of the concept roster. Think of it like the stunts you'd want to pull with your own friends if time, space and a budget weren't an issue!
